Have you ever worried about what others think of you? How did it affect your actions or decisions? Share a personal experience and use hypophora at least once in your response.

Prompt: I have worried about what others think of me. I am usually afraid that I will say or do something that others won't like or find odd and won't like me because of it. I have also decided to participate in certain activities because I want others to like me. There was this one time where our school went to Six Flags and a bunch of people wanted to ride this really big roller coaster and they were trying to convince me to ride it. I hate rollercoasters and didn't want to ride it but I didn't want them to think I wasn't fun so I decided to ride it anyway. Right before the roller coaster took off I asked myself "Why did I agree to this" even though I knew the answer was because I cared more about what others thought of me than what I thought of myself.

Summary: Today in class we learned different rhetorical devices.

Reflection: This will help me be able to write a rhetorical analysis essay. It will also help me improve my writing by using different techniques.

Describe one thing that makes you different from other people.

Think of a time when you tried to persuade someone to agree with you, change their mind, or do something you wanted. What were you trying to persuade them to do or believe? How did you use ethos, pathos, or logos to persuade them? Which appeal was most effective and why?
