After reviewing and scoring other AP Language argument essays, identify two important takeaways that you can apply to your own writing. Explain what you learned about claims, evidence, commentary, the “so what?” explanation, or the AP rubric. Use specific observations from the essays you reviewed. Write one complete paragraph.

Prompt: Two important takeaways from reading the argumentative essays is you need to clearly connect your evidence to your thesis and clearly answer the prompt. I learned that to be able to get full points you need to thoroughly answer the So What? part of the commentary and fully explain your claims with clear and relevant evidence. I noticed that it is very easy to get the thesis point, and if you use sophisticated language you can get the sophistication point. In the essays those who were able to explain why they thought something was overrated in a clear and concise manner received full points, while those who didn't really explain their thesis did not.

Summary: Today in call we graded argumentative essays.

Reflection: This will give me a clear understanding of what to do and what not to do. It will also help me get a good AP test score.
